We know it has been a while since we provided an update, we apologize about that, however, unfortunately with the ups and downs of the pandemic, there really has not been any opportunity to make any decision and provide any update.

Now that we are entering 2021, and a very different changed world, we want to start looking at how we will be reengaging in the future. The pandemic has brought us many challenges and many opportunities. We have seen the rise in virtual events out of necessity, and they have shown their benefit. We still have a love for in person events and are hoping with the introduction of the vaccination this year, that before 2021 closes, we will be back together again. 

Obviously, we do not anticipate running any in person events in the first half of 2021. So, Winter Cup and Capital District Open, during their regular annual times are off the table. Depending how the world changes with the introduction of the vaccine, we have our fingers crossed that we may be able to bring back the North East Open, in a modified way during its regularly scheduled time in August.

At this point, only time will tell, and we will have to wait to see what happens. But please know that we are thinking and working all the time on a resurrection plan and considering every option that would allow us to start rebuilding safely.

This being said, there will obviously not be a 518 circuit in 2021, and many of you signed up for the 20220 circuit which did not make it past the first event. In 2022 we will bring back this beloved recognition with the hopeful reinstatement of the full circuit and offer all the 2020 members, free membership as e get reengaged in competitions.
